Educational games to do at home with your lil' ones

I had earlier bought this electric circuit at a Power value shop (Tampines, Bedok) to teach Jd on electricity.  The one at the Power value shop opposite Bedok library was cheaper than $6.90 as it doesn't contain the motor and switch.  Prior to that, I had searched on Amazon and these educational toys don't come cheap.  The one I bought was a mere $6.90 which is pocket friendly though I would advise parents to guide their children at all times (electricity you know).  There wasn't a manual on how to set up but it doesn't take rocket science to figure it all out.

Firstly, I gave the definition of conductor and insulator.  It would be good to have a worksheet on hand so that the child can do an experiment under parental guidance.  The items to be experimented could be a paper clip, eraser, key, plastic ruler etc (just use your imagination).  My son's eyes lit up when he saw the light bulb light up.

Though the experiment was short, he was able to understand the difference between conductor and insulator.  On top of that, he was excited about the whole thing.   Well, time to think of another experiment to do at home.

Jd was excited about the electric circuit

All set and ready to light up!

$6.90 the price of this electric circuit
